- Eagle Radar Scan Converter PMC: (from Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc.)
- Eagle, a member of the Hawkeye family, is a flexible and powerful radar scan converter which is based upon field proven technology and comes in a compact and mechanically ruggedized PMC form factor. Eagle is a low power, rugged design that will operate in a wide range of environments, including conditions of high temperature and vibration. Radar data is passed to the card via high-speed PCI bus transfers. This can originate either from a CWCEC Osprey PMC Radar Input Card or via network from a radar video server. Eagle digitally combines the generated radar image with the output from a standard DVI output (PanelLink) graphics card, such as our Falcon PMC Graphics and Video Windows Card. There are many such DVI output graphics cards available. During video keying, the Eagle is able to place the video from the graphics card either as an underlay or as an overlay to the radar image. This feature is typically used to allow target symbols to be presented as overlays and maps to be presented as underlays.
- Eagle-2 Hi-Res Radar Scan Converter PMC: (from Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc.)
- Eagle-2 is the latest in the line of high-performance radar scan converters from Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing. Eagle-2 provides improved performance and support for high-resolution screen displays up to 2560 x 1600, including 2048 x 2048, making it the perfect choice for high-end radar display applications.
Radar scan conversion on the Eagle-2 is performed using the field proven White-Powell algorithm, combining the best features of both forward and reverse scan conversion. This powerful algorithm ensures that there are no holes or spokes in the displayed image, even when zooming-in at long range, and that all single point targets are displayed. Radar data is passed to the card via high-speed PCI-X bus transfers. Data can originate either from a Curtiss-Wright Osiris radar input card or via network from a radar video server such as Curtiss-Wright´s RVP radar video processing product.
- Orion JPEG2000: (from Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc.)
- Orion provides real-time JPEG2000 video compression and decompression capabilities for video distribution and recording applications.
Available in PMC and PCI formats, Orion brings high-performance video compression to a variety of system architectures including VME, cPCI, PCI and VPX. Air-cooled and conduction-cooled variants of the PMC variant make the Orion ideal for applications ranging from naval ship-wide video distribution systems through to rugged recording applications on fast-jet and helicopter platforms.
Orion provides a dual channel capability for the compression or decompression of video at standard NTSC and PAL resolutions. Each channel can be configured as either an input or output channel. This allows Orion to be configured to provide simultaneous record and replay functionality by using one of the two channels for each function.
- Osiris dual channel radar interface: (from Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc.)
- Osiris is a high-performance, dual channel radar interface board that accepts and processes analogue and digital radar signals and provides a PCI interface to applications. Osiris comes from a long history of radar interface products at Curtiss-Wright (formerly Primagraphics), with interfaces to support many legacy and modern radar types. With an on-board FPGA and high-speed PCI interface, Osiris offers high performance with two independent channels on a half-length PCI or PMC mezzanine format.
