Serial I/O
- IP Biserial BA1: (from Dynamic Engineering)
- Intergrated Transmit and Receive channels. Odd or Even Parity generation and checking. Frame, Parity and overrun error checking on input channel. Transitions on the falling edge, valid data on the rising edge. Can be programmed to use an internal reference clock at multiple frequencies or the external reference clock.

- IP-BiSerial-NG4: (from Dynamic Engineering)
- Features include: Software programmable 3/4 wire modes, parity, transmit frequency, the width of the synchronization pulse, the time delay after the sync and the start of data, and the time between data words. The word transfer has an associated Word Sync signal to provide for framing and error checking. The Frame sync signal provides for message level synchronization. The Ng4 has programmable receive word count and receive all mode. The IP BiSerial NG4 has a 50 MHz reference oscillator.
- IP-Biserial-RTN2: (from Dynamic Engineering)
- RTN2 is an update to the IP Biserial-BA2 with an expanded word counter, 16 Mb FIFO, programmable parity odd/even and on/off, programmable almost empty and programmable almost full interrupt capabilities added. - 8 Channel Serial Data Interface
IP-OctalSerial is part of the IP Module family of modular I/O components capable of providing multiple serial protocols. The standard protocol implemented provides a Data, Clock and Strobe interface with Ready control. The –FCS version is a custom modification. The main modifications include lsb first format, gated clock, and custom strobe timing. In addition to the FCS version other custom interfaces are available. Please see our web page for current protocols offered. If you do not find it there we can redesign the state machines and create a custom interface protocol. That protocol will then be offered as a “standard” special order product. Please contact Dynamic Engineering with your custom application. The IP-OctalSerial-FCS supports both 8 and 32 MHz IP Bus operation. Differential I/O are available on the serial signals.
- IP-OctalSerial: (from Dynamic Engineering)
- IP-OctalSerial-IO is a Multi-channel Serial or Parallel communications and control interface. Each of the 8 channels has FIFO support. A total of 24 - 40 MHz rated RS-485 IO with programmable terminations are provided for complete flexibility with custom requirements. Programmable interrupts and status. The IP interface supports 8 and 32 MHz operation. The FIFOs are supported with a write through pipeline and early termination for the TX channels and a fast read capability on the RX channels for high performance. The TX FIFOs can be loaded in parallel if the same data set is to be sent via multiple channels.

- 16 Optically Isolated High Voltage Outputs
IP-OptoISO-16 is an IndustryPack® Module with 16 optically controlled FET switches. Each FET acts as a single pole normally open photo-voltaic relay. The solid state approach has several advantages including bounce free operation, low on resistance, long life, fast switching, and higher reliability when compared to relays. Each optical switch operates independently. IP-OptoISO-16 now available from Dynamic Engineering.
- IP-QuadUART: (from Dynamic Engineering)
- IP-QuadUART features the 16C854 with 128 byte FIFOs on each of 4 channels. Software selectable RS-232 and RS-422 / RS-485 operation on each channel. In RS232 mode the full MODEM signals are available [RX, TX, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, RI, DCD]. In RS422 mode the signals supported are [RX, TX, CTS, RTS ]. Multi-drop supported. Two local oscillators are provided to allow the full range of the UART to be utilized. 2M max rate and all of the standard baud rates. The IP interface has write through and pre-read capabilities for minimum over-head and maximum performance. 8,16, and with the proper carrier 32 bit accesses supported. 8 and 32 MHz IP interface.
- IP-QuadUART-485: (from Dynamic Engineering)
- features 4 UARTs w/full or half duplex differential IO [RX, TX, CTS, RTS, DTR, DSR]. Two reference oscillators provide 1.5 MHz max and all of the standard baud rates. The quad UART utilized is the 16C854. The quad UART is supported by an advanced IP module interface implemented within a Xilinx FPGA. Write through, multi-byte and pre-read capabilities speed host interaction with the IP-QuadUART-485. When the IP-QuadUART-485 is mounted to a carrier which supports 32 bit operations the effect can be enhanced. The PCI3IP, PCI5IP, and cPCI2IP support 32 bit access to IndustryPacks.
